Joanna Sanetra-Szeliga is deputy head of the Institute of European Heritage of the International Cultural Center. She is also Doctor of economic sciences, adjunct at the Department of Economic and Social History of the UEK and consultant at the Cultural Statistics Center of the Statistical Office in Krakow.
She is the author, co-author and editor of several dozen articles and publications on EU cultural policy, European Capitals of Culture, the role of culture in local development and intercultural dialogue. Joanna has participated in international research projects devoted to the impact of heritage on socio-economic development, relations of heritage and innovation as well as heritage and cultural diplomacy, as well as the impact of large events on historical cities.
