Matobo Hills in Zimbabwe is a World Heritage Site and one of the most important rock art sites in Southern Africa, dating back at least 13,000 years with over 3,500 individual sites.
The workshop will provide custodians of rock art sites in Matobo Hills (Zimbabwe) with up to date documentation and recording techniques that can be used to compile comprehensive records for risk management of the sites.
The workshop will bring together heritage practitioners working with rock art from around the region, including Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Malawi and Zambia.
