This document consolidates the operational information necessary before implementing capacity building within ILUCIDARE.
The main objective of capacity building in the project is to enhance the awareness and capacities of local actors to co-develop heritage-led innovation initiatives and international relations in response to local needs and barriers. The scope, objective and approach of each capacity building session is unique. These are developed and tailored specifically for each learning area, based on the coaching sessions report and ILUCIDARE results on heritage-led innovation and international relations.
Although each capacity building session is uniquely designed for its local context and necessities, there are common or re-occurring aspects:
- They are organised and support by the ILUCIDARE capacity building partners: World Monuments Fund, Cultural Heritage without Borders Kosovo, Universidad de Cuenca;
- They are supported by the ILUCIDARE trainer (Aziliz Vandesande, KU Leuven), who provides training on heritage-led innovation and topics relevant to the specific capacity building;
- They mobilise EU experts to provide site specific training. For a selected number of capacity buildings these EU experts are part of the ILUCIDARE consortium (IMEC and/or KEA);
- Stakeholder participation enables addressing local specificities.
Given the diversity of capacity building locations and contexts in ILUCIDARE, the aim of implementation guidelines is to define and settle key-points of each learning area: location, dates, ILUCIDARE trainers, external trainers, participants, list of planned activities, expected output, risks and needs.
Disclamer: the capacity building sessions mentioned in this report were planned before the Covid19 outbreak. The capacity building schedule will be revised and adapted according to the sanitary situation in each of the locations.
